Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council has approved increases in animal licensing fees affecting various businesses, including dog breeding, animal boarding, and zoos. The standard animal activity licence will rise from £447 to £465, while zoo licences go from £177 to £184, and dangerous wild animal licences will increase from £533 to £554. A new £465 fee will be charged for primate keepers. The council states these increases are due to inflation and the costs of operating the licensing service. The new fees are set to take effect on June 1.
