Dorset Police conducted searches at a derelict building on Westover Road, Bournemouth, on May 21, following reports of an unlicensed firearm. They were assisted by the Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service to gain access to the property. A 19-year-old man from Christchurch was arrested on suspicion of firearms offences and possessing an offensive weapon. He is currently in police custody. Authorities stated this operation is a focused investigation and confirmed there is no wider threat to the public in the area.
