Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council is implementing temporary parking restrictions on St Michaels Road and West Hill Road due to a landslip on October 19, 2024, which damaged 16 beach huts. From June 4, 2024, no parking, waiting, loading, or unloading will be allowed in designated areas while design and remedial works are conducted. These restrictions are expected to last until December 3, 2027, possibly longer depending on weather and further needs. A temporary walkway will be maintained to facilitate pedestrian traffic, ensuring public safety and minimizing further cliff impacts.
