On May 19, the Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service responded to a fire at a recycling facility near Mannings Heath Retail Park in Poole, which was reported at 12:33 PM. Nine fire crews, including units from Poole, Westbourne, Ferndown, and Christchurch, attended the incident, supported by additional aerial and command units. The cause was determined to be accidental, likely due to a discarded battery. Dorset Police assisted with road closures, advising local residents to keep windows and doors closed due to smoke.
