Derek Lewis, former church warden at St Marks in West Parley and treasurer of an Austin A30 car club, passed away earlier this month. His wife, Corrine, described him as a caring man. Derek ran Glickman’s ironmongers in Tottenham for 53 years, where he was known for his dedication to the local community. He supported local businesses and believed in their importance. He is survived by Corrine, their two children, grandchildren, and step-grandchildren. A funeral will be held on May 26, and the family is raising funds for Macmillan Caring Locally, the hospice charity that cared for him.
