On May 14, a celebration featured notable stories of Walter of Wimborne, Roger Gillingham, and Isaac Gulliver’s antics, alongside the historic lives of Margaret Beaufort and Saint Cuthburga. Organized by Malcolm Angel of Gullivers Bookshop as part of the Literary Festival, the event benefitted the Minster. Performances by Mike and Jane Twomey, Tony Horitz, Christine Oliver, and Mayor Jeff Hart enriched the evening with authentic portrayals. Guests enjoyed refreshments provided by the Minster Friends’ Events Team, making for a memorable blend of history and entertainment.
