First round of Rotary Young Musician 2027 competition takes place

Ollie Bartlett triumphed in the first round of the Rotary Young Musician 2027 competition, impressing judges with his diploma-level pieces, “The Holy Well” and “My Grandfather’s Clock.” Six young performers competed, with 16-year-old double bass player Franek Piotrowski securing second place. A professional quartet, including violinist Jack Maguire, made up the judging panel. The event, organized in collaboration with the Bournemouth Performing Arts Competition, aimed to celebrate young musical talent. Both Bournemouth Rotary and the competition organizers praised all participants, wishing them success in their future musical endeavors.
