BCP Council has proposed converting a caretaker’s bungalow at 75 Evering Avenue, Poole, into an educational unit for 10 pupils with additional needs, aged 7-11. The plan includes repositioning gates, installing perimeter fencing, and adding a single-storey extension. The unit would allow SEND students to attend school locally, supported by five staff members while maintaining access to school facilities. The proposal faced objections regarding noise and traffic concerns, but was ultimately approved unanimously at a planning meeting. Councillor support highlighted its benefit to current students and the enhancement of educational facilities despite parking issues.
