Treasure Island play park, or Pirate Park, in Canford Cliffs will reopen in June after a £130,000 upgrade. The redesigned park features a new pirate ship, climbing equipment, slides, sensory play areas, and a zip wire. Enhancements for younger children include a play tower and balance beams, along with improved accessibility through adapted swings and resurfaced paths. A reopening event is scheduled for June 20, from 11am to 2pm, featuring face painting and games organized by the Canford Cliffs Land Society. Councillor John Challinor emphasized that the park retains its nautical theme while introducing modern play facilities.
