Major transformer to disrupt road traffic in Poole and Dorset

On Saturday, May 23, a transformer will depart from Poole Harbour, taking a specific route through towns including Blandford and Ringwood, before arriving at Mannington substation. The heavy equipment will be transported on a slow-moving vehicle, assisted by traffic management for rolling closures. National Grid and specialist contractors Allelys will oversee the delivery, which is scheduled for late afternoon, ensuring no disruption to electricity supply. Residents along the route have been notified, and further information is available via email at communityrelations@nationalgrid.com.
