Oxford women accused of obstructing police investigation after death

Michaela Pomeroy and Jemma Moir are charged with actions following Peter Crowley’s death in April 2022. Pomeroy, 33, pleads not guilty to conspiracy to pervert justice. Moir, 28, deemed unfit for trial, faces similar charges. They allegedly aided Tia Pomeroy and her boyfriend in evading capture after Tia attacked Crowley, who later died from alcoholic liver disease. Tia Pomeroy, previously convicted of related offenses, had a confrontational history with Crowley, whom the Pomeroy family blamed for a relative’s relapse. The trial continues as jurors deliberate the charges against Moir.
