Chris and Desi Cloete, while visiting Poole Harbour with family, experienced a delightful surprise while crabbing. After watching the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, they pulled up their net for the last time and found a large seahorse tangled in seaweed, which left them in awe. The family safely placed the seahorse in a bucket of seawater, allowing fascinated onlookers, especially children, to admire it. They later released it back into the harbor, marking the day as a memorable encounter with nature. This event highlights the presence of seahorses in Poole Harbour, crucial for conservation knowledge of the species.
