A major regeneration project in Boscombe is set to begin construction in June 2026. The Hawkwood Road scheme will transform a nine-hectare site into a new neighborhood featuring 68 council-owned homes, a community center, commercial spaces, and local services. This development aims to stabilize housing for local residents and alleviate pressure on the housing register. The first phase focuses on the community center and pedestrian access. With work expected to finish by August 2028, improvements will include retail kiosks, greener public areas, and better connectivity. Councillor Kieron Wilson highlighted the project as a significant milestone for the community.
