Man convicted over Bournemouth seafront rape

A 19-year-old man, Mohammed Abdullah, was found guilty by Bournemouth Crown Court of a sexual assault and rape on a 20-year-old woman in Bournemouth. The incident occurred on July 6, 2025, when Abdullah, who offered the victim a lift on his e-bike, assaulted her in portable toilets near East Cliff Zig-Zag. The victim contacted her mother after the attack, leading to an investigation by police. Abdullah was arrested and charged, with sentencing scheduled for July 3, 2026. Detective Inspector Shaun Inkpen commended the victim’s bravery in coming forward to report the crime.
