BSO: Lost Innocence – Review of Lighthouse Poole

BSO: Innocence Lost concluded a successful season featuring diverse works, from Beethoven to Led Zeppelin, under chief conductor Mark Wigglesworth. Baritone Roderick Williams, the season’s Artist-in-Residence, highlighted the performance, alongside soprano Talise Trevigne and mezzo-soprano Anita Monserrat. The evening opened with Copland’s Appalachian Spring, a celebration of American life. This was followed by Tippett’s A Child of Our Time, a poignant oratorio responding to historical injustices, showcasing the talents of over 100 voices from the Bournemouth Symphony Chorus. The 2026/27 season, themed “Road to Joy,” will include all nine Beethoven symphonies and works by renowned composers.
