Skatepark records highest visitor numbers following refurbishment

The Swanage Skatepark Community Project (SSCP) has seen increased usage since completing a £75,000 upgrade in January, which introduced new accessible ramps. This improvement has attracted a diverse group of users, including more women and returning adults. Secretary Heidi celebrated the milestone, highlighting the skatepark’s busiest attendance ever. To commemorate phase one, SSCP will host a skate jam on May 30, featuring professional demonstrations, workshops, food, and activities for children. The event aims to unite the community and gather feedback for the next redevelopment phase, for which they have raised 62% of the £80,000 target.
