The “Newport Rise and React” jar, a limited-edition satirical artwork by street artist Rise Propaganda, sold for an astonishing £550. This unique piece was the last of 150 produced and previously had a value of £160 in 2018. David Walker inherited the jar from his late wife, Laura, who passionately collected memorabilia before passing away from cancer in 2020. Though he doesn’t share her taste for Marmite, David expressed satisfaction that the jar is now with someone who will appreciate its significance. The jar exemplifies the rarity and value of street art in contemporary culture.
