Upton Country Park is celebrating its 50th anniversary since opening to visitors in May 1976 with a two-day event, “Upton Through the Ages,” on May 16 and 17. The celebration includes Regency-themed activities at Upton House and 1970s-inspired fun in the Walled Garden, such as music, inflatables, and a fancy dress competition. This free event, organized by Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council, honors a beloved green space gifted to Poole Corporation in 1957. The park features diverse landscapes and attracts about a million visitors annually, supported by nearly 200 volunteers. Normal parking charges apply.
