Mudeford photographer documents RAF Chinook boat drop over Poole

Will Evans, a photographer known for Snap Photography, took striking photos of a Chinook helicopter demonstrating its capabilities over Ham Common on May 11. Evans described the experience as “amazing,” highlighting the helicopter’s precision as it hovered above water, dropping a vessel that appeared tightly packed in the back of a family vehicle. The Chinook, a versatile heavy-lift aircraft in the RAF, is equipped for extreme environments and can transport up to 55 troops or 10 tonnes of cargo, primarily supporting troop transport, resupply, and casualty evacuation missions.
