What do you expect from new town councils

Residents in Bournemouth, Poole, and Broadstone recently participated in elections for new local authorities. Reform secured a majority in Bournemouth and Poole, while the Liberal Democrats prevailed in Broadstone. These town councils are tasked with managing local services like parks, allotments, and public amenities, as well as providing community input on planning issues. Funding for these authorities comes from a precept included in residents’ council tax bills.
