Chaddesley House, a new facility at St Ann’s Hospital in Poole, represents a £70.6 million investment in Dorset’s mental health services through the Government’s New Hospital Programme. Built by Dorset HealthCare, the purpose-built center will enhance capacity and care for individuals with severe mental health issues. It includes two wards: Chine Ward for women with 14 beds and Haven Ward for psychiatric intensive care with 13 beds. Local MPs and stakeholders attended the opening, with expectations for further improvements by 2027/28, emphasizing high-quality, accessible care closer to home for patients and families.
