Wimborne Parents Annoyed by Teacher Strikes at QE School

After a two-day strike at Queen Elizabeth’s School in Wimborne over potential job cuts, teachers plan three more days of industrial action. This unrest, amid ongoing GCSE and A-Level exams, has caused significant disruption, with concerns raised by parents about the timing and its impact on students. The Initio Learning Trust, which oversees the school, faces scrutiny due to its high executive salaries and a recent Ofsted report indicating the school “requires improvement.” Amid budgeting challenges, previous protests from parents highlighted the need for better financial management within the trust. MP Vikki Slade has called for an independent investigation.
