Massive beach art installation unveiled at Bournemouth Beach

During Mental Health Awareness Week, Dorset Mind and Dorset Tea collaborated to create a large-scale sand artwork on Bournemouth Beach to promote well-being and reflection. Fundraising manager Emma Murgatroyd highlighted the initiative, building on last year’s Chatty Bench campaign, and emphasized the importance of taking moments for oneself. The temporary installation featured calming messages like “Moments matter mindful” and was inspired by the Five Ways to Wellbeing: connect, be active, take notice, keep learning, and give. The artwork was created by a local artist and was designed to fade with the tide, fostering a peaceful space for contemplation.
