Coastguard teams from Southbourne and Poole responded to reports of possible drowning near Bournemouth Pier around 12:49 am on May 9. Upon arrival, they found one casualty already located by an ambulance crew and assisted with their transfer. A second individual was quickly rescued from the water and also taken to an ambulance for further care. Once both individuals were transported and no further concerns were reported, Coastguard teams were stood down. Authorities remind the public to call 999 if they see someone in trouble along the coast or in the sea.
