Reform UK wins half of local seats

Reform UK has become the dominant party in the first town council elections across Bournemouth, Poole, and Broadstone, winning 25 out of 50 seats (50%). The Liberal Democrats followed with 17 seats (34%), while the Green Party secured 4, and Labour and independents each won 2. Notable victories for Reform UK occurred in Kinson, Muscliff, and Moordown, with candidates like Mark Harper receiving the highest individual vote total of 1,923. Voter turnout varied, peaking at 50.61% in Merley and dropping to 25.99% in East Cliff. Several wards saw tight races, showcasing the competitive nature of the elections.
