Town council election results announced today

On May 7, residents in Bournemouth, Poole, and Broadstone voted for new town councillors, with 50 seats available: 21 in Bournemouth, 21 in Poole, and 8 in Broadstone. Despite a public consultation showing 75% opposition to the councils, BCP Council established these three new local authorities in October 2025. A total of 136 polling stations were open, with 184 candidates contesting in 27 wards. The Liberal Democrats and Reform UK fielded candidates in all wards, while other parties like the Greens and Labour were less widespread. Results will be announced on May 8, 2025.
