A significant fire broke out at a derelict house on Waterloo Road, Poole, shortly before 8 PM on May 6. The Hamworthy Fire Station crew, just back from another incident, responded to the scene with six fire crews and equipment including an aerial ladder platform and breathing apparatus. Firefighters battled the blaze until it was under control by 11:03 PM, with a reinspection the following morning showing no remaining hotspots. Authorities confirmed the fire was believed to be deliberately started. Multiple units from Poole, Westbourne, Hamworthy, and other areas assisted in the operation.
