On May 1, Year 12 students at Bryanston School participated in their fifth annual “Sleep Easy” fundraiser, sleeping on the school’s astroturf to raise £3,000 for YMCA Bournemouth. This event aimed to raise awareness about homelessness while fostering empathy and community spirit among students. Activities included building cardboard shelters, games, and enjoying pizza and hot chocolate. Creative shelter designs were recognized, with winners featuring a boat-shaped structure and a compact design. Head of charities, Hannah Fearnley, emphasized the importance of such events in helping students understand the struggles faced by those experiencing homelessness.
