Dorset to host Tree of Strings festival this July

The Tree of Strings festival, co-founded by cellist Adrian Brendel, will occur in Abbotsbury from July 3 to 5. The event aims to unite audiences through a blend of classical, jazz, folk, and contemporary music. Brendel emphasizes the dialogue between old and new musical traditions as key to creating unique experiences. Featured artists include violinist Abigél Králik, jazz musician Kit Downes, and pianist Joanna MacGregor. The opening concert will spotlight young cellist Hugo Svedberg, a semi-finalist in the 2024 BBC Young Musician of the Year. The festival invites all, requiring only openness to enjoy the performances.
