Dorset Council has indicated that its Local Plan, which outlines development until 2038–2040, may face further delays due to slow national policy agreements from the Government. Planning lead Shane Bartlett highlighted that many councils nationwide are experiencing similar issues. Despite these challenges, the council aims to adhere to its timetable and plans to hold another public consultation later this year.
