Notably, 57% were first-time visitors, with many traveling from countries like Australia, Norway, and the US. Festival director Dominic Wong expressed excitement for the diverse writers attending, from beginners to published authors. With over 100 workshops and events, the festival aimed to nurture emerging talent, engaging more than 200 youth participants. Author Sacha Hughes highlighted her journey from a messy manuscript to launching her debut novel at the event.
