Tom Hayes Welcomes New Laws Passed by Labour Government

Labour MP Tom Hayes lauded the passing of 50 Acts during the first session of the Labour Government, aimed at enhancing the lives of working people. Highlighted measures include the Passenger Railway Services (Public Ownership) Act, making South Western Railway publicly owned, the Renters’ Rights Act ending no-fault evictions, and the Removal of Two Child Limit Act to alleviate child poverty. The Great British Energy Act and the Employment Rights Act were also significant developments. Hayes emphasized progress can move faster with the removal of hereditary peers, as the second parliamentary session begins on May 13.
