Many fires are believed to be deliberately set, with a significant blaze at Holt Heath last year destroying around 72 hectares. Fire crews are collaborating with Dorset Police to combat intentional fire-setting and protect sensitive environments. Officials encourage vigilance and responsible outdoor behavior, urging people to report any suspicious activity or fires immediately.
