Bournemouth was ranked the UK’s most “rainproof” beach destination in Parkdean Resorts’ Rainy Day Index, which assesses beaches using Met Office data and shelter features. Weymouth Beach and Sandbanks Beach also made the top 10, taking third and sixth place, respectively. A survey found that 70% of UK adults would stick to holiday plans despite rain, with 76% planning staycations this year. The UK’s weather averages 170-180 rainy days annually, but Parkdean is prepared with indoor activities to keep families engaged, regardless of the weather.
