“SMOKE,” a play written and performed by Alexis Gregory, will be staged at Lighthouse Poole on June 12, as part of a nationwide tour in collaboration with LGBTQ+ organization You Are Loved. The one-hour performance is followed by a 10-minute intermission and a 45-minute panel discussion exploring the play’s themes within the LGBTQIA+ community. Gregory, drawing from personal experiences, mixes dark humor with poignant storytelling. Directed by Campbell X, the narrative follows Alex as he grapples with grief and psychosis after receiving a message from his deceased boyfriend. Tickets and additional details can be found on the Lighthouse Poole website.
