Lee Claydon, 45, tragically died after slipping on spilled beer at Wembley Stadium and falling from a height. During a pre-inquest review at Barnet Coroner’s Court, senior coroner Andrew Walker stated no jury inquest would be held as the death did not meet legal requirements. Family members, including his sister Jess, advocated for a jury, citing concerns about stadium safety. Mr. Walker indicated that expert consultation on safety may be necessary. The court will reconvene to set a date for the full inquest and review the witness list by May 27, with a follow-up scheduled for June 16.
