Para Surfing Roadshow Returns to Bournemouth This Spring

Surfing England and Shaka Surf will host an event on May 9 at Branksome Dene Chine, aimed at introducing individuals with physical disabilities and visual impairments to surfing. Following the success of the 2025 tour, which engaged over 70 participants, organizers hope to further develop Bournemouth’s reputation as a para surfing hub. Experienced Team England coaches will lead sessions, providing specialized equipment like wetsuits and beach wheelchairs. Founder Mark Reeves emphasizes the event’s mission to make surfing accessible to everyone. Sessions cost £10, with proceeds supporting para surf clubs, and volunteers are encouraged to participate.
