Poole runner with heart issue finishes London Marathon successfully

Matt Bliss, a business analyst from Poole, completed the 26.2-mile London Marathon in under three-and-a-half hours, raising funds for the British Heart Foundation (BHF) after his diagnosis with supraventricular tachycardia. This condition caused his heart to beat rapidly, prompting a successful ablation procedure. Bliss, who has participated in two previous marathons, experienced a heart rate of 230 during his last run. He now takes medication for high blood pressure but feels fortunate for the treatment. The BHF raised over £1.4 million from this event to support cardiovascular disease research, highlighting the importance of community and resilience.
