Bournemouth Airport achieved its busiest year on record, with a 26% increase in passenger numbers, totaling nearly 1.4 million travelers by March 2026. This growth is attributed to Jet2.com and Jet2holidays’ full-year operations, along with services from Ryanair and TUI. The airport’s cargo division also set records, handling over 37,000 tonnes of freight. Significant investments have enhanced facilities, including a new arrivals hall and improved baggage systems. Looking ahead, airlines are expanding routes and capacity for the summer season, leading airport leaders to anticipate another busy year as local travelers opt for their nearby airport.
