Improvements to Bournemouth Airport’s Mobile Network

The Wireless Infrastructure Group (WIG) has proposed to relocate and replace the existing network tower at Bournemouth International Airport to support ongoing terminal redevelopment. The project includes constructing a new lattice tower with three antennas, a transmission dish, and several equipment cabinets, all enclosed by fencing. According to the design statement, the existing installation must be removed to facilitate the redevelopment, ensuring ongoing network service and improved performance. Public consultation on the proposal, filed under application number P/26/01882/PNTEL, will last until May 15, with a decision expected from officials after consultations conclude.
