Lighthouse Poole will host a screening on June 4 for the film 3000 Lesbians Go To York, directed by Rachel Dax, alongside two acclaimed short films from the Iris Prize LGBTQ+ Film Festival. The feature film explores the story of a lesbian bookseller and the largest gathering of LGBTQ+ women in the UK, featuring interviews with notable authors. The short films include the BAFTA-winning Two Black Boys In Paradise, addressing themes of identity and acceptance, and Two People Exchanging Saliva, a narrative on forbidden love. Poole Pride will be celebrated on June 6. Tickets are available on the Lighthouse Poole website.
