On the evening of April 26, emergency services responded to reports of a woman stranded on the cliff face near West Cliff. Rescuers from Southbourne Coastguard, Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue, and South Western Ambulance services reached the scene and confirmed the woman was safely retrieved and taken to the top. She had climbed past safety barriers to retrieve a banknote, influenced by alcohol. The Southbourne Coastguard urged the public to avoid climbing beyond safety measures and to call 999 for assistance if someone is in danger near cliffs.
