A new shop called Hope Soap has opened in Southbourne, aimed at supporting individuals facing hardship. Operated by Hope HTS on Seamoor Road, it sells handmade soaps, candles, and gift sets. For each item sold, a bar of soap is donated to local food banks, benefiting those lacking essential hygiene products. Manager Caroline Connell reported that the initiative has helped over 2,800 people transition from homelessness to safe housing. Besides fundraising, the project offers volunteering and skill-building opportunities, emphasizing dignity and care for the community’s most vulnerable members.
