Nationwide has proposed installing a defibrillator and bleed control kit outside its Poole High Street branch to enhance community well-being. The bleed kit addresses severe bleeding emergencies, while the defibrillator aids in treating cardiac arrest. Both will be secured in a removable cabinet near the bank’s entrance. The bank believes the life-saving potential of this installation outweighs its impact on the conservation area’s appearance. The planning application is under consultation until May 16, 2026, with a decision expected post-consultation.
