Changing Places Toilet Temporarily Closed Because of Antisocial Behaviour

The publicly accessible toilet block in the Lower Gardens operates from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM in summer and 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM in winter. It includes a Changing Places toilet designed for individuals with severe disabilities, offering ample space for equipment and caregivers. However, due to ongoing anti-social behavior and vandalism causing significant damage, the BCP Council has temporarily closed this facility and is reviewing access options. The nearest alternative Changing Places toilet is at the Marsham Court Hotel. Advocates stress the importance of reopening this facility for the dignity and mobility of disabled community members.
