A man filled a white Renault Trafic van with £140 worth of diesel and left without paying on April 9 at around 2:25 PM. The van’s numberplates were obscured by mud and it has been frequently seen in Weymouth and Portland. Dorset Police are investigating and have released images of a man they wish to identify. They are urging anyone with information to contact them or Crimestoppers anonymously. Following recent conflict in the Middle East, fuel prices in the UK surged significantly, with diesel peaking at £191.5 per litre on April 15, rising notably since the war began.
