Eleven-year-old Aria from Christchurch is undergoing neuroblastoma treatment at Southampton Children’s Hospital, having been diagnosed in January 2025. A portable CADD pump has transformed her life, allowing continuous medication infusion while providing increased mobility. This device fits in a small backpack, enabling Aria to engage more with family and friends, which she missed while tied to hospital equipment. Her mother, Suzanne, describes the pump as a “game changer,” enabling Aria to enjoy normal activities despite her illness. The Southampton Hospitals Charity supports such innovations, aiming to expand home treatment options for children like Aria.
