Woman fined £100 for eight-minute stay in car park

Jacqui McKeown received a £100 parking fine after briefly using the car park behind the former Poole Quay Hotel in March. Living in Mudeford, she was unfamiliar with the area and found the parking sign misleading. Upon arriving, she discovered the payment machines were broken, and her attempts to pay via the Evology app were unsuccessful, a situation others also faced. After just eight minutes, they left without paying. Parkingeye initially issued the fine but later canceled it as a goodwill gesture. Jacqui hopes to warn others about potential parking issues in the area.
