Labour MP Tom Hayes criticized Capita’s incompetence and emphasized the importance of protecting taxpayers from the company’s mistakes. The government will provide £7.2 million in interest-free loans for transition support and send a 140-person team to resolve delays. Capita has faced scrutiny before regarding its management of other pension schemes, including the Civil Service Pension Scheme. The Cabinet Office minister asserted that pension service reliability is non-negotiable.
