Seafront Mini Market in Bournemouth has applied for a late-night alcohol license, permitting off-site consumption from 8 am to 3 am and late-night refreshments from 11 pm to 3 am daily. A similar application was previously denied in 2022 due to concerns over street drinking and anti-social behavior in the area. Various stakeholders, including YMCA, Dorset Police, and local councilors, have raised objections citing safety risks for children and increased crime. The licensing committee meeting scheduled for April 20 has been postponed for further mediation, with no new hearing date announced.
